Springtime in Asheville is an unparalleled time to appreciate the fruits of the Earth’s work on full display. At this time of year, rich hues of pinks, reds, violets, and blues are not an uncommon sight along the roadways.

The 6 Best U-Pick Flower Farms Near Asheville

1. The Never Ending Flower Farm (Weaverville)

Best U Pick Flower Farms near Asheville: The Never Ending Flower Farm

Just 20 minutes north of Asheville, The Never Ending Flower Farm comes from a long line of farmers and homesteaders. This beautifully curated flower farm made it their mission to think of everything and is definitely a more upscale experience in the u-pick world.

Their enclosed shed off the parking lot has directions on everything you need. A container, a set of pruners, and tips on how to best care for your cuttings are all laid out for you. The variety of flowers changes as the season progresses, from poppies to snapdragons, sunflowers, and cosmos, just to name a few.

The price of the u-pick flowers starts off at $28. They accept cash, PayPal, and Venmo and work off an honor system. The Never Ending Flower Farm also does small events and venue rentals.

Location: 152 Tom Harris Trail, Barnardsville.

2. Flying Cloud Farm (Fairview)

Local Farms with U Pick Flowers near Asheville: Flying Cloud Farm

One of my favorite little farms near Asheville is Flying Cloud Farm. Located just a short 15 minutes away, and a frequent stopping place for those looking to visit Hickory Nut Gap farm, lays this quaint farm.

A no-pesticide, herbicide, or any harsh chemicals farm with regenerative practices is one of the reasons I have fallen in love with Flying Cloud, although the dogs that man the farm don’t hurt either.

From mid-June to October, their u-pick is open, starting their season with zinnias, daisies, and sunflowers. Prices start at $10, and multiple payment options are accepted at their self-service honor system that’s located at the property. Be sure to stop by when they offer u-pick berries as well!

Location: 1860 Charlotte Hwy, Fairview.

3. Full Sun Farm (Leicester)

A farm known for its beautiful market displays and picturesque mountainscape is without a doubt Full Sun Farm. Offering a chance to pick flowers a bit earlier in the season than most, with the option to do a 5-gallon bucket of flowers with anywhere from 50 to 100 stems!

Full Sun’s u-pick is by reservation only, but they are more than accommodating to any party. Bridal parties are encouraged to come on out to the mountain vista and pick their bouquets or centerpieces for a truly unique experience commemorating your special day.

Full Sun also has a generous flower CSA from May to October, where you can get your pick of specialized floral arrangements all season long.

Location: 90 Bald Creek Rd, Leicester.

4. Sideways Farm & Brewery (Etowah)

Sideways Farm & Brewery seems to do it all. A flower farm that also happens to brew beer and has goats! Priding themselves on being small and fitting in with the environment, they are a rare establishment that coexists with nature and community exquisitely.

In the late spring and early summer, Sideways offers a variety of u-pick flowers, depending on crop and conditions. They are one of the few breweries in the country creating beer carbonated with local wildflower honey and are, rightfully, big bee advocates.

Follow their social media or call them up to see when the best time to get your flower fix is. Personally, I would stop by and talk to someone in person – the staff is more than helpful and a cold beer and a cute goat never hurts!

Location: 62 Eade Rd, Etowah.

5. Jeter Mountain Farm (Hendersonville)

Must Visit U Pick Flowers Farms near Asheville: Jeter Mountain Farm

Located on nearly 400 acres, the family-owned Jeter Mountain Farm is not only renowned for its apple varieties, but it also offers a small variety of flowers in the summer. Located atop their mountain farm, starting in July, you can pick zinnias, dahlias, poppies, and cosmos, all while enjoying a beautiful view.

Open only on the weekend, be sure to check out their social media pages, which they are diligent about updating, to make sure your pick of choice is available that weekend. Early mornings are best to beat the crowds at this bustling farm!

Location: 1126 Jeter Mountain Road, Hendersonville.

6. The Ten Acre Garden (Canton)

A farm that is passionate about being a gathering place for families is a one-of-a-kind space. A small farm stand that is always filled with in-season goodies greets you when you step onto the property, accompanied by a breathtaking view and rows of produce, berries, and flowers.

You have the option to pick by the stem or fill a provided container for $50. You can be sure to fill your cup again on a return visit for $40! The Ten Acre Garden is a buzzing place in the summer with festivals, movie showings, pizza, vendors, and lots of smiling faces. This humble farm also offers CSA shares for vegetables and flowers.
