Green Sage Cafe: Healthy, Delicious, and Sustainable!

Itried Green Sage Cafe back when they had only one location in 2010 (their original location opened in 2008).

It’s impressive in the restaurant business when an independent restaurant, especially one with a strong commitment to sustainable and healthy practices, is successful 15 years after opening.

Green Sage has opted to create a menu where every delicious meal on this menu is going to feature nutritionally dense food.

I’m a huge fan of the Pura Vida Bowl. It has sunny-side up eggs with black beans, flavorful kale and onions, a hash of root veggies, and brown rice, all with avocado salsa to brighten it all.

This toast has light, chewy ciabatta, crunch from the seeds, and rich creaminess from the avocado.

One thing that I also find impressive is that Green Sage Cafe isn’t a sustainability bandwagon jumper.

SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES

They’ve been caring about the environment and about nutrition since before it was nearly as trendy as it is now.
